Our Programs

The Lung Association believes that all who breathe with difficulty, as well as those who breathe with ease, will be empowered through our provision of quality, up-to-date information on respiratory health.

We concentrate our efforts in lung health in the following areas:

  • Asthma care and prevention
    • As a leading health concern in Canada, with the incidence of asthma increasing over the last 15 years, The Lung Association recognizes the need for public education and support programs for people living with or caring for others with asthma
  • Air quality
    • We have programs designed help improve the quality of the air we breathe - indoor and out
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
    • Unlike most serious illnesses, COPD is on the rise in Ontario, affecting people - especially women - at a younger age than ever before. The Lung Association offers support through our BreathWorksTM program
  • Smoking prevention
    • We educate youth on the dangers of tobacco use and encourage them to raise their voices in support of a Smoke-Free Ontario.
